Basement Renovation in Garwood, NJ

Our first project was to renovate an existing basement to create a Family Room, Bathroom, and Laundry Room / Storage.  Basements always have interesting challenges related to their existing conditions (i.e. duct work, existing utilities, drainage) and this was no different.  Utilities were discreetly tucked away in closets or cabinet panels and duct work was encased and marked the transition between spaces.  An existing sump-pump was covered by the stair landing (with access panel) which provided a entry sequence into the new Family Room.  An existing drain line was encased under a raised platform that was framed by a custom-built bar.
