House Plan: The Hillock

The Hillock is based upon the Prairie Style designs of the Midwest in the early 20th Century, most notably by architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Purcell & Elmslie.  The home's 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms are accommodated within 2,800 square feet of living space (not including the basement).  The relatively narrow footprint (28' x 80') makes the Hillock ideal for narrow urban and dense suburban lots.  The broad roof overhangs, sleeping porches, and strong horizontal lines are all signatures of the Prairie Style.  The Hillock is capped by a multi-purppose room ideal for and office, playroom, or exercise studio.
